Jason Rich

Jason Rich grew up on a small farm in southern Idaho where a love of art and Western lifestyles was cultivated. This foundation led Jason to study art at Utah State University where he received Bachelor and Master of Fine Art degrees. Upon completing his education, Jason dedicated himself to pursuing art full time and quickly established himself in the art market.

For almost three decades, Jason has enjoyed much success and recognition in prestigious organizations, shows, events and elite publications. Jason won “Best of Show” in the 2024 CM Russell Auction, served as President of the Cowboy Artists of America 2018-19 and, in their annual shows, won the “Stetson Award for Best Overall Exhibition” in 2015, the “Silver Medal in Oil Painting” in 2013 and 2012, and the “TCAA Award for Best Portrayal of a Cowboy Subject” in 2012. The Academy of Western Artists named Jason “Western Artist of the Year “in 2014, and Jason was chosen as the poster artist for the Jackson Hole Arts Festival in 2013. Jason received the “Spirit of the West Award” in the Masters of the American West in 2008, and was the featured cowboy artist for the National Day of the American Cowboy celebrating the 100th birthday of John Wayne at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in 2007. Jason’s art has been featured in Cowboys & Indians, Western Art Collector, Art of the West, Southwest Art, and on the cover of Western Horseman and Rocky Mountain Rider.

Living in the mountains of northern Utah with his wife Kari and their children, Jason feels he is living his dream. “I live in a place I love, with people I love, doing what I love. What could be better than that?”
