Brittany Scott

Brittany grew up in the orange groves of Southern California and spent high school drawing commissioned portraits of the children and grandchildren of her teachers. In 2003, Brittany made her way to Utah to attend Brigham Young University where she fell in love with the high desert western landscape. During her schooling, Brittany interned with Burton Silverman in New York and worked as an apprentice under William Whitaker.

After completing her degree in 2008, she established herself in the center of Provo, Utah’s creative community and continued to attend workshops and make connections with many accomplished artists. For four years, Brittany hosted Creative Collaborative, inspiring a community of artists to live successful creative lifestyles and, in 2012, she created the popular $100 Show currently hosted at the Springville Museum of Art. In 2016, Brittany guest curated Emerging Artists Primavera at Meyer Gallery and, in 2019, she was a panelist in the Center for LDS Arts Festival in Dallas. She has been interviewed for podcasts and print media, including a feature on BYUTv’s ARTFul. Brittany has taught art through Utah Valley University’s Continuing Education Program as well as private instruction, and has been instrumental in helping emerging artists to launch their careers.

Brittany now lives near Dallas, Texas with her husband and six boys where she regularly has little hands creating in her studio. In August of 2021, Brittany withdrew her work from galleries to spend more time creating sacred art and further her non-profit venture with her husband, Inspired Arts League. Together, they are working to restore hope in the world through art by empowering artists to create then share with the world. She has become a bridge to unite artists in communities large and small and continues to bring creative people together by fostering collaboration.
