ARTIFACTS: "Star Wars" Movie Props

NARRATIVE: In 1977, American film maker George Lucas created a pop culture phenomenon with the release of his movie "Star Wars." The franchise has spanned decades, expanded to countless forms of media and merchandising, and become deeply entrenched in national culture. The Library of Congress selected the original Star Wars film in 1989 for preservation in the US National Film Registry as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." My take on Yoda is not so much based on a photo, but rather capturing the attitude of Yoda. The sketch was originally titled "Badass Yoda." The main concept is from the 1977 Eveready Battery commercial starring actor Robert Conrad, "I Dare Ya!"
